The Consultation
During the initial consultation and review of your health history, we try to determine if you’re a good candidate for chiropractic care. We’ll ask a few questions and do a lot of listening.
A Partnership
The consultation also gives you an opportunity to get to know us better and learn more about chiropractic care. Since ours is a partnership approach to better health, it’s important that you’re comfortable with the personalities, procedures and policies of our centre. The consultation is a great way to find that out.
The Next Step
If we don’t think we can help, we’ll tell you. If we think we can help, and you agree, we can usually proceed to the next step, which is a thorough chiropractic health assessment.
The Chiropractic Assessment
A thorough chiropractic assessment will be performed and may consist of the following:
Spinal Health Check
An assessment of the alignment and movement patterns of your spinal column. This will include a postural evaluation, static and dynamic palpation, analysis of weight distribution and other procedures to reveal neurological function.

Thermography
A thermography scan reveals skin temperature deviations. These findings can indicate impairment to nervous system control and regulation of your heart, lungs, stomach and other vital organs.
sEMG
Surface electromyography (sEMG) is an instrument that locates subluxation (spinal imbalance) patterns by measuring electrical activity in the muscles supporting the spine.
X-Ray
Diagnostic imaging can help locate any bone abnormalities and provide important information relating to alignment and general health of your spinal bones.
The examination procedures are designed to reveal the cause of your current concern and determine your overall spinal health condition. They also give us a baseline for future progress assessments to monitor improvements in spinal and neurological health.
